This is exciting news and we have the OTC and you the parents to thanks for this. Starting this season the entire varsity team will be using the Riddell InSite Impact Monitoring system. This system is installed in the players helmets. InSite monitors the impact during practice and games and will alert coaches and the training staff with actionable information from a single or multiple impacts sustained. While this system does not prevent head injuries, it does help diagnose them sooner and it proactively influences player behavior, since they know this system is in place and it is being monitoring at all times.

This system is expense but well worth it if we can eliminate just one head injury. But all of this would not be possible without the financial support of the Oakmont Touchdown Club and parents. Our goal for next season is to have this system in place for all levels at Oakmont. But to make that a reality we will need the continued support from OTC and you the parents.
